Decks
A deck built around how you'll actually use it.
A deck takes everything Kingston's weather has — sun, rain, and the freeze and thaw that lifts anything not built for it. That's why what's underneath matters as much as the boards on top: footings set below the frost line, the right fasteners, and a frame that won't move. We talk through your options before we start — composite or wood, and where each one earns its keep — agree on a clear written scope and price, and build it to last. The result is an outdoor space that still looks right years from now, and that you actually use.

Permit and footings
We pull the City permit where it's needed and set footings below the frost line, on undisturbed ground.
Built-in features
Benches, privacy screens, pergolas, and lighting, if you want them.
Design and layout
We help you size and lay out the deck for how you'll use it and how it sits with the house and yard.
Railings and stairs
Aluminum, glass, wood, or composite railings and stairs, built to code and finished clean.

How we work
We agree on the full scope and price in writing before any ground is broken, so the final price is the price you signed off on. We pull the permit, book the inspections, and keep the site in order while we work. Most decks go up in one to three weeks once the materials are in — we'd rather build it right than rush it, because outside, shortcuts show up the first winter.
Materials & Finishes: Outside, the material is the decision that lasts. We walk you through composite versus wood — what each costs up front, how it ages, and what it asks of you over the years. Composite costs more to start and holds its look for decades with little upkeep; a wood deck costs less but wants staining and sealing to keep it. You make the choice with the full picture in front of you, and owner-supplied items are noted clearly in the estimate so you always know what's included and what isn't.
What our clients say
"Andreas and his wonderful staff were the perfect choice for my addition. It was a great pleasure working with them. Andreas always had time to discuss and explain things. My porch is truly amazing, much nicer than I ever imagined. The quality of workmanship is superb. I would recommend him for anything and will be sure to hire Hombar again in the future."
— Lyn Stockdale
"We had an incredible experience with Andrey and his Hombar Construction Company! We've never heard things like "It's impossible" or "It's weird, it would cost you a lot of money." Andrey's response was always finding alternatives, or best ways to do "impossible" and "weird" things on very reasonable budget. From the outset, we received the detailed (free!) estimate complete with work stages and price break, and lots of attention from Andrey, not to mention near-perfect German quality of his work. We would recommend Hombar Construction without any reservation!"
