Building homes is where HOMBAR started — the name means Home Building and Redesign. We take on a small number of custom builds in and around Kingston, and we approach them the way we approach everything: we plan the home with you, put together a detailed, transparent estimate, and build it from the foundation up to a standard that lasts. A new build is a big commitment on both sides, so we keep the money and the milestones clear from the start — you always know what's being built, what it costs, and what comes next.

How we work
We start with a detailed, written estimate — line by line, with the material grades and quality you choose — so the price is clear before anything begins. From there the work is staged, and the payments are tied to milestones: a deposit, then excavation, framing, and on through the build, structured so both you and we are protected the whole way. You're involved at every step, and the home is built to the standard the name was founded on.
Materials & Finishes: On a custom home you choose the grade of materials throughout, and we lay the options out plainly — what each costs, where it's worth spending, and where it isn't. Owner-supplied items are noted clearly in the estimate, so from the foundation to the finishes you always know exactly what's included.
